🌮 Taco Rice 🌮

(Gluten Free)

This recipe is a one pan meal that can be made to feed 1, 2, or 8 on short notice. For each pound of meat add the ingredients to itself to adjust and keep flavor.

Seasonings
1 tbps Chili Powder
1.5 tsp Ground Cumin
.5 tsp Cayenne or Paprika
.25 tsp Garlic Powder
.25 tsp Onion Powder
.25 tsp Dried Oregano
1 tsp Salt, I use Himalayan
.5 tsp Black Pepper

Note: Double all seasonings and ingredients if more than 1 lbs or meat is used.

🧑‍🍳 COOKING & SERVING INSTRUCTIONS 🧑‍🍳

Start by browning your choice of meat in a good sized pan, I use a Dutch pot as the rice will be going into the same pan as the meat once the browning is complete.

Once the meat is brown and crumbled, remove any grease by draining and place the meat back into the same pan (you can use another but why make more dishes).

Mix in your seasoning, the can(s) of Diced Green Chilies and Diced Tomatoes & Green Chilies. Next you will add the water and rice, see above for how much of each to add to your meal. In keeping with the example listed I am going with 4 cups water and 2 cups rice.

Bring the water to a low boil and then reduce your heat, remember to stir to keep the rice from sticking. Once the water level has reduced you can remove the heat and allow 10 minutes for the rice to finish absorbing the remaining water. The meal should be tick and not watery when you're done.
